N-CAP is a non-profit organization, incorporated
in February, 2002, for the purpose of administering CAP funding for Nunavut CAP
sites. The directorate of N-CAP is made up of interested representatives from
CAP sites across Nunavut and also Nunavut government employees who have an
interest in the CAP program. The current directors of N-CAP are as follows:

Brian Manning – Resolute Bay CAP site
Secretary-Treasurer:
Darlene Thompson – CAP Administrator, Nunavut Department of Education
Malcolm Campbell - Nunavut Department of Education
Randy Kopak – Repulse Bay CAP site
The objects of this society are to provide residents of Nunavut with access to and training
on the internet and computer technologies by:
- Maintaining a network of Community Access sites where members of the public can use computers and the internet across Nunavut:
- Maintaining a volunteer base to support each Community Access site; and
- By securing such funding to provide support to each Community Access site to be used to:
o Secure personnel to maintain the sites,
o Hire instructors to develop training courses
o To upgrade hardware, software and the sites in general, as necessary,
o To make training programs in the areas of technology,career development or economic development available to the public; or
o To complete projects to further the objects of the Society.
Our goal is to continue to work in close partnership with the residents of
Nunavut, elders, communities, schools, Nunavut Arctic College, Inuit and
business organizations, other levels of government and other Government of
Nunavut departments in order to deliver the excellence in programming implied in
our objects.
